The most important thing about me is that I belong to Jesus Christ. I’m very thankful that God got me early and told me about himself when I was very young and convinced me of the truth of his love shown in the death and resurrection of his son, Jesus Christ. Every day is gradual growth.
I work full time as a disability support worker. I only intended to stay there for 6 months. Then I started a two year ministry apprenticeship part time, which were probably the most challenging and hardest years of my life so far. Having finished the apprenticeship, I’m now working out how best to use my time to help others know God better, through Christ, and grow in maturity and godliness and to grow myself.
I am wife to Jeh. We got married last year, and I have really enjoyed it so far (and have been told by a good friend that it just gets better!) It has also been nice not living with my family, and having space and quiet.
I’m an introvert. For me this means I can be quite shy and love time alone, though am usually one of the last to leave when friends are gathered.
As I get older, I see more and more how I am a product of my parents, particularly in my hobbies and personality.
I love reading, particularly classics at the moment (like dad).
I love craft and making things, though don’t consider myself creative (like mum).
I’m a closet sci-fi nerd (not as bad as my family).
I love lazy weekends.
I prefer Winter to Summer – curling up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a book or movie is the best.
I write more than I speak, and writing helps me process my thoughts, thus I have a blog. I’m excited that some people find it interesting! Thanks for reading!
