Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God

I thought I had no problem with the two truths of God’s sovereignty over everything (including our actions) and our responsibility to respond to and share the gospel. But after reading chapter 2 of Packer, I realised I do sometimes fall into those traps of leaving salvation to God and realising He doesn’t need me, and thinking that I need to be equipped and good at something to bring honour to him and bring someone to Christ. I need to find the balance, in practice, of relying on God for the salvation and response of others, and allowing him (and being willing) to use me in my weakness.
