Psalm 42

“My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (2)
“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God.” (5, 11)
This is why I’ve been reading Psalms. As I’ve struggled with ministry and emotional and physical energy drain, my mood goes down and I begin to despair and worry. As David suffers, much more than I do, he continues to seek God and delights in His presence and His word. What a rebuke and a comfort.
Please pray that I would seek to do the same.
